The possible applications of the technique include police training, military target acquisition and prioritization, trouble-shooting, inspection (both visual and auditory), and countless others where experience must be gained rapidly.
AEL can be used to teach months or years of experience in hours. This seems particularly significant with the enhanced security in our country and the need to get many inspectors, operators, and other personnel familiar with equipment, image interpretation, and other duties and skills. The familiarity and efficiency needed to perform at the levels now required by the introduction of new scanners and other inspection techniques is particularly well suited to improvement through AEL.
